We're back...

The Densons have been SUPER busy lately!  We went several weeks with an event every weekend and now that football as kicked off we are keeping busy with games.  Some weeks we make it to Jr. High and High School games and then of course kick back and watch college football on Saturdays.  We've also had fun tailgate parties, birthday parties, and weddings!  It's been fun being with friends both old and new.

This was from Mae Beth and Allen's wedding this past weekend (stolen from Brooke's FB page)!  It was absolutely beautiful and Mae Beth made a beautiful bride.  It was also fun to see some old high school friends!

Joe had a really busy "Busy Season" with work and we headed straight to the beach following the end...which is Sept 15 for those of you, like me, who assumed all taxes were due April 15.  :)

We had a great time at the beach with friends and were able to relax despite the constant activity of 5 little ones!  The weather was perfect and the water like glass...I mean so clear and so calm I might have thought I was in the Caribbean.  And of course the company of our great friends made the whole trip worth any of the chaos.  :)  The trip really was a blast.

I WON!!!

I have to share this as I have never won a contest in my life.  My friends Natalie and Patton did a Giveaway on their blog.  It was for a Pallet Shelf which I was VERY eager to have!  They are quite the craftsmen and have done some incredible DIY projects around their house and I am so happy that I get to be a recipient of one of their very unique shelves.

I promised them that it will be going in a prominent spot in our house...Joe's Study (upscale man-cave).  We need to get to painting but have gotten mostly new furniture to turn this once hodge-podge of a guest room into a study for my hard working hubby!

Here is a pic of the pallet shelves from Nat and Pat's blog.

Larkin's Picky Eating

Larkin has been very picky lately when it comes to food.  HOWEVER, of all the foods in the world he could like, he chooses TOMATOES!  I absolutely cannot stand tomatoes but he seems to love them.  Since that is the only vegetable (or some would say fruit) that he will eat right now, I am taking advantage.

He is still loving any fruit, but will not touch vegetables.  He also is eating a lot of beans (again, not my choice, but he loves them).  The dr. gave me good advice to offer him what we want him to eat and not give in to the junk food!  I'm staying strong, but definitely give in to some mac-n-cheese on occasion. :)

Oh, and if you are wondering, "Wow, Julia blogged twice in a week!" it's because I got a new camera!!  Who knows, this excitement might bring the blogger out of me. :)

This was spaghetti night.  Larkin enjoyed the noodles but didn't give them too much thought after he saw the tomatoes!!  Oh, and he wouldn't touch the meat... that's for you Gran and Brooke. :)

McWane Center with Friends

Larkin and I recently visited the McWane Center with some of our friends.  If Larkin could talk I think he would tell you this is one of his favorite places!  There is so much to look at and even do...even for such a little one like Larkin.  He loves playing in the water trough (not exactly sure what they call it) and watching the bubbles.  Larkin also enjoys the Aquarium part of the museum because he can stand and hold on to the glass.  There is also an area where you can pet sharks, but we left that up to Hannah Grace. :)

Cute pictures of the kiddos playing.  These are Larkin's friends, Julia and Hannah Grace.

Hannah Grace showing the little kids how to do it.
She knew exactly what she was doing...so cute!

Huge BUBBLES!  Actually, I think this is mid-pop of a buddle.

Waiting to touch the sharks...this might have been their "resting" period...
please, try telling a toddler that the sharks are resting!

Oh and this is where the moms started having fun. :)

 Gymnastics? :)

And the kiddos were free to roam...As Larkin plays with some kid's shoe.

It was such a fun time with friends and a great outing in this hot weather.  I think a membership to the McWane Center is in our future! :)

Larkin's 1 Year old Pictures

Hello!  It's been a long time since I've sat down to blog.  I do have so much to catch up on, but for now I wanted to share Larkin's 1 year old pictures!

Ann Wade Parrish shot some pictures of our little man on Tuesday!  She is so speedy and already has them up on her blog.  This is just a glimpse of what she took, but she did a great job as usual.  Anyone who can take such good pictures of a "man on the move" possesses incredible talent!

Enjoy!

Mocking Mommy

I had to share these videos with you all!  I have had bronchitis which has resulted in a nasty cough.  We noticed early in the week that each time I coughed, Larkin would mock me with a fake cough!  It was hilarious!  Well now it has become a joke.  Larkin now either fake coughs or totally cracks up when I cough (so of course, now I am fake coughing).  I hope you enjoy the videos!

Larkin Lately

Happy Summer!  We have been super busy lately which explains part of my lack of blogging.  The other part can be explained by the fact that I am the worst for leaving pictures on the camera and never getting around to uploading them on the computer.  Either way, I know I really have no excuse for slacking.

It's hard to believe that Larkin is almost 11 months old!  Larkin has gotten SO big, active, fun, funny, adventurous, full of personality, etc.  He has truly kept us on our toes recently as he is crawling and pulling up on any and everything.  He loves to be standing but isn't quite ready to walk yet.  We can tell that as soon as he can, he will be running full force!  This child has a lot of energy!

He is still so loving and loves to give kisses and hugs.  Thankfully, he is still a little cuddler too which is one of my favorite qualities about him.  I know that won't last forever, so I'm enjoying it while it does.

Below are several pictures over the last few months.  We took a little vacation (AKA mine and Joe's 5th Anniversary trip) to the beach.  It really was a great and relaxing time.  Other pictures are from our day to day routine.  Enjoy!

First Easter

Sporting his Jimmy Johnson pj's, given to him by Uncle Kelley (my brother)

Showing up the baby from the commercial, wearing his Denim diapers!

Fun at the beach!

Getting pushed by his friend, Julia.

Still loving bathtime!

Crawling!!

I found him napping like this one afternoon.  Precious!

Up to no good.

Sneaking up on Bosley.  Bos better watch out!

Watching TV in a normal fashion...chewing on his hat bill.
